Setting up shipping categories

The shipping category is like normal categories but for shipping. Many shipping companies may charge differently based on the type o items you are shipping. For example, they might charge glass items more than garments. If you only deal with one type of items then you just need to create one and you are good. If you deal with multiple types of items and they need to be handled differently during shipping, make sure you set up categories properly.

Pasls creates a default shipping category called Clothing for you when you sign up. You can rename this to whatever you need.

To add shipping category
  1. From the main menu, go to Configuration 
  2. Click on Shipping categories
  3. Click on Add new
  4. Fill in the details
  5. Click Save
This step is just for defining categories which will be used later while setting up shipping method
